Ancient Echoes Good Times

2008 Michael de Meng February 2 & 3rd The first workshop for the year held at Ancient Echoes was organised by Marg Byrne and Kathy Thompson, hosted at our venue and taught by the wonderfully talented Michael de Meng who led the girls through Soda Pop Icons on the Saturday and Transperancy/Assemblage on the Sunday. All of the girls turned out awesome work! ...........Thanks for everything. I have nothing but kind things to say about the event and your hospitality. I look forward to working with you and Con in the future. Your plans sound wonderful and I certainly would love to be part of any event you guys put together. I have experienced many a teaching venue and I can tell professionals from non professionals. You definitely take the instructors needs as well as the needs of all the participants to heart. You future venue will be nothing short of fabulous for all involved, I have no doubt. Michael is a FANTASTIC teacher and these have to be the best classes ever. No pressure - fantastic! Joy Bathie Backgrounds Masterclass 25th & 26th August 2007 ........A very sincere and belated Thank You for having me last weekend for Joy's 'Master Backgrounds' class, and for giving me the opportuntiy to learn from Joy again. As always, she is an inspiration, and a beautiful calming soul with astounding talent. I had a wonderfully intense two days of painting. Loved every minute. And that is partly due to the environment you create for us as well. Everything is always so organised and prepared and we are well looked after. The location is an amazing oasis of nature and tranquility and I think that also plays a big part in our creativity. Far better than being stuck in an office builidng with four bland cream walls and a tiny window. The food - well I could go on for hours on that, but without a doubt 5 star. Far too much than I could consume, and I did, but only because it was so incredibly delicious. My sincere thanks for everything............ Ruth S

I had a wonderful weekend applying colour upon colour and finally walked away not stressed about what I couldn't do. The organisation was fabulous, catering was wonderful and the whole feel of the weekend was great. Joy Bathie Master Class - May 27th & 28th 2006
....arrived home around 7pm tonite and although' totally exhausted, I learnt heaps and had a great time at Joy's workshop. The venue was marvellous... all home comforts, a wonderful hostess ( Caro) and great company...... Lovely meals were supplied and time just got away ... as it usually does when playing with the things we love. It was great to meet up with ladies I haven't seen for a while. Thanks go to Caro for making this workshop available, and also to her helper, Bevlea...who was a good "gofer" for us as well ...vbg

Congratulations Caro on a wonderful two days with Joy in your fantastic studio. You really did a wonderful job, and spoilt us all with wonderful homemade food for our lunches. It was all so professionally organised, and lots of great work was produced. I had a fantastic time with a super lot of girls to work with, and Joy was as always a great tutor and very helpful and encouraging.

KUDOS to Ancient Echoes & Carolyn!!!!!!! The Joy Bathie workshop was amazing.
I learnt so much from Joy and came home with 3 spreads finished, a first for me from so many workshops! Joy is such a caring person & never makes anyone feel that they aren't good enough, just countless words of praise & subtle suggestions.

The venue was great & the food, countless teas & coffees were much appreciated. It was so nice to feel welcomed at a wonderful venue. Roll on Ancient Echoes, can’t wait for the next workshop!

I would like to second that!!! I had a great time and learned heaps. The venue is terrific and the organisation was superb and the teacher, Joy was very giving and helpful to each individual. Very big thanks to Joy for a wonderful workshop.

Photoshop 101 - June 10th 2006
I have to agree with Anne here what a fantastic day we had yesterday, it was so much fun. .......You don’t need to worry about feeling inept as Bevlea has so much patience, which is exactly what you need when teaching people who have no idea (me) and she did a great job. We had lots of yummy food – thank you Caro what a great hostess and I love your studio. I can’t wait to do more workshops there; I thoroughly enjoyed it, thanks girls.

Well another very successful workshop and the results that we ended up with were terrific. A very big thankyou to Bevlea for being so patient with me, Caro you were a brick helping me out when I got stuck on something. Thank you very much to both of you. I had a great day and your lunch and morning and afternoon teas are to die for, you should be very proud of yourself in getting these workshops up and running, in such a friendly atmosphere.
